computers are for customers only
have you ever thought what it would be like a hundred years from now? or how about two hundred years from now? will there be flying cars? will meals come in pill form? will anything be futuristic like it was supposed to be in 1984? or how about this, will the trash be over flowing? will wildlife only be seen in books because of the insane urban sprawl that has wiped out livable habitat? will pollution reach a point that it makes seeing the sun a special moment? what will your childrens children think of what we are turning the planet into? these questions are only the first that come to mind when i take 2min to think about this subject. i wonder about the legacy that i will leave behind. will i leave a lasting impression or just an impression that lasts. what i mean is will i change the way a few people think about consuming and leave a lasting impression or will i continue to consume and consume and contribute to the growing mass of trash? there are so many things that are recyclable that people over look. how about homes? instead of repairing a home in need i see more and more that they just knock it down and build a new one. i know it is possible to bring an old house back to life and it can be easy if you know what youre doing. when they knock it down it now creates double the trash. why why why? maybe because people are lazy and modular homes are cheap. they only last 50 yrs but who cares because the people that lived there for 25 have moved and the next batch only 10 and guess what? now someone comes in the house is run down so they knock it down and rebuild. lame lame lame. laziness and greed. the two things in this world that do the most destruction. instead of buying new threads at the mall go to a second hand shop. i rarely buy new clothes and only for a certain event that requires something i dont already own. i mend or have someone else mend my old clothing to the point that it is no longer salvageable. there are so many things in my home that i dont touch or need. why do i have them? well a lot were gifts and others i never stopped to think about what i was doing in purchasing them. today tho when i buy something i think about where it was made, how it was made, and what will happen to it when im done with it. if i dont agree with one of the three things i dont purchase it. im not a diehard patriot but i do believe in this country i was born in. im not racist but i try to only buy things made in this country because it helps this country. people see the bleeding hearts all over the world and miss the ones right next to them. lets leave a lasting impression and start cleaning up this country. try to consume less, buy less and if you have to buy american. help your neighbor in the house next to you not the continent next to you. i would love to think people will be proud to be from this country in the future, not the current trend of people turning their backs on it.
