what is a man that does not make the world a better place?

to all the innocent victims of the michael phelps tragedy i offer you my deepest sympathies. michael phelps was given a gift, the ability to swim with great athletic confidence. this young man used his gift to bring this country home many gold medals from the greatest athletic competition in the world. unfortunately, after an awe inspiring performance, we have recently discovered that he is still a human being therefore making him prone to mistakes. case in point, the recent release of a photo in which he is smokitng marijuana. first tho i would like to congratulate the hero of the hour, the brave person who captured this on film. it must have been a very difficult and stressful decision to make to turn the photograph over to authorities. authorities that would use proper discretion to bring mr. phelps poor judgment into the light of the masses. im sure the man of the hour was conservatively compensated for his heroic efforts. mr. phelps was once uplifted and his accomplishments made him an inspiration to the youth of this decaying society. like his hero, australian ian thorpe, phelps is a man worth looking up too and modeling your life after as he did with mr. thorpe. phelps, a young man that has dedicated his life to the pursuit of olympic gold, should have known how society works and that amidst his intense training that takes up almost all of his time, the repercussions of his actions.....

oh wait...

he has been training the vast majority of his life. He has won 16 olympic medals, 8 gold at the last olympics alone. if nothing else the gold medals should distract you from anything else because that is what this society is obsessed with. money gold and all things monetary. this reminds me of our hero from earlier. what a scum bag. this person held the fate of another person in their hands and decided that they would turn it over for money and let someone else deal with the difficult decision of how to address what michael phelps did or to protect the innocent people that uphold him as an american hero. im sure whoever this person is never committed a moral crime in his or her life aside from standing next to the person hitting the bong and thinking if they had a picture of this it might be worth some money. i would put money down that whoever this person was, was next in line to hit the bong. i guess my question in all of this is why would someone choose to take hope away from someone else? im sure they received money along with that hope. i will say michael is an idiot for getting caught. honestly though, what he did is so small in compared to the person who took the photo knowing very well what would come of it. i hope that persons bank can turn all the hope that person collected into money because my bank doesnt provide that service yet...
